Hi Markjscullysr,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

Sounds like the backflow check valve is not holding in the city water line. You might screw a plug into the city water connection if you want to use the pump until you can get it back to your dealer to check.

Let us know what the cure was.

Enjoy the forum.

Mark, if you don't have a plug handy, try sticking your pinky finger in the city water connection and pushing on the little pin in there. It may just be out of alignment with the seals. You will have to remove the washer/screen to do this.

Like Jim said it sounds like your check valve at the city water inlet isn't working. Bought a metal check valve at the c.g. store that goes between the back of the city water filler and the hose that connects to it. Should last a lot longer than the plastic original one. Tom M.

I have had to replace the plastic check valve several times before I got one that worked consistently. Not a hard job to replace, but just surprised so many were faulty, either the small spring or the spring hold down were usually bad.
