Bighorn Hitch Types

I just want to make sure I am getting the right information on the type of hitch required to pull the Bighorn. With the front cap design I have been told by a salesman that I will not need a slider hitch for my shortbed pickup. Is this correct?

I have a Ford short bed (6.5 ft long) and have not had any problems yet, without the slider.

I've been towing my 3200RL WITHOUT a slider hitch for 16 months. I have the short box 6.75 F350 and have no turning radius concerns. The front cap design allows towing the Bighorn a breeze w/o the slider.
