I cannot endorse this rack because it failed on the way back from Gillette, WY. The rack cracked in several places and I almost lost the bikes. When we got home I reinforced all of the brackets and weak points where it looked like it had stress cracks.
I would look for a bike rack that is very heavy duty, you may have to pay a little more but figure in the cost of buying new bikes it will save money in the long run.
I have considered making a bike rack from thick wall square stock using the one that I have for a pattern, just have not had the time.
