Bird nests in slide out belly

I can’t seem to find anything on this topic anywhere. We had birds nest inside the slide out section of Our fifth wheel. With only a small area to be able to remove the nest ( what we could get out) there is now an odour inside the rv and in the storage compartment under the bedroom area. Does anyone have a solution or idea of how to get the odour out without having to remove the bottom of the trailer ? Adding anything in liquid form would just wet whatever is in there and make it worse. The birds are no longer in there but what was left behind is. We have covered the entrance so it can’t happen again. We originally put steel wool around the slide out bar so this couldn’t happen but they just pushed it into the hole ! We are not physically able to get under the rv to remove the bottom of the rv and all that would entail. Thank you

Most likely the only thing to do is have someone drop the belly material and remove the offensive material.

Are you sure it is a bird nest and not a rats nest? Dead rats smell, small birds usually do not.

Shop vacuum with long hose and wand if opening allows the hose to go through. Otherwise a regular house vacuum cleaner with smaller diam hose for a smaller hole. Critters find their way into the most unlikely crevices.
