Brakesmart Controller

Is anyone still using a Brakesmart controller? I like the concept but I can't find any online support for the unit any longer. I have to put the gain on #8 to feel much braking effect from it. Also, I get a message "trailer brakes detected" as I am towing the trailer. I press "E" and the message is gone. I think the processor does a system check periodically and comes up with the statement.

What would be a current replacement for the Brakesmart unit?

Larry, I think the closest controller to the Brakesmart is the Max Brake controller and one place it can be purchased is www.plugitright.com Good people to do buisness with.

Yea I think brake smart went under. Max brake is another pressure operated system

Thanks. I will look for the Max Brake contoller at the Tampa RV show. Is there any recommendation for the Max Brake controller from Heartland owners?

I have a Max-Brake and really like it. I think it improved my trailer braking quite a bit.
