Broken Leaf Spring

I have a 3 year old Prowler and experienced a broken leaf spring on last trip. Fortunately it evidently broke when we set put the trailer because the frame was resting on the tire which would have been a major problem if we were travelling. I had a Truck Service come to the campground and change the leaf spring. I asked what might have occurred he stated that it looked like it was old and fatigued then recommended changing all the springs since the one was bad. Has anybody else had such a problem and should I have them all changed. The trailer does not seem old enough to have such a problem.

It's 4 years old so it could be possible.

We had a Heartland Trail Runner TT before we bought our Prowler 5th-wheeler and the springs were flat when we bought it . . . although we didn't realize it at the time.

This is what flat springs look like - replace if yours look like this:

It was when it was two years old and around 4000 miles on it when it reared it's head and the trailer started resting on the tires.

Don't just replace the springs . . . upgrade them to a heavier duty spring!

It really doesn't cost that much more than just putting the same ones back on.

You won't regret it!

We are now looking at doing the same to our 1 1/2 year old Prowler.

your new spring is stronger than the other 3 ,I would replace all springs ,if one broke you will most likely experience another in the future.
