Check A/C Duct Work

I was looking up through the grate on A/C and noticed some light. I took off the bottom shroud and saw there was about an inch gap between the air duct and the ceiling and also light coming through the squirrel cage. I repaired with foil tape. Just might want to check to make sure all the cool air possible is going into the duct work and not into unoccupied space.

You are on the right track. Just use your foil tape and seal everything up.
