check valve location

Hi, hope that ya'll are having a blessed day. My HWH needs a check valve for my 2010 (approximate) Trailrunner RV. Is it where the hot water comes out of the tank. Not to mechanically inclined, therefore a drawing or photo would be very helpfull. Thanks to all respondents. This is a very informative forum.

The HWH check valve is located on the tank outlet. That's normally the top fitting on the tank. The lower one is the cold water inlet.
