Cudos to Discount Tire

I have to give Discount Tire a big thumbs up. I wanted to replace the Chinese tires that came on my new rig. 1st of all, their price was already as low as anything I found at the major internet tire dealers after you factor in shipping. 2nd, I found a significantly lower price at NTB after I had already ordered my new tires. For some reason, they were not coming up when i was searching. DT not only met NTB's price, but the total was less due to the lack of an installation fee. Plus they gave me an instant $70 rebate that NTB was offering as a mail-in rebate. Ultimately, I saved $388 off the original low price. Last but not least, discount Tire is 20 min from my house. I left my house this morning at 0740 for an appointment at 0800. They had me park outside the last bay and they put 4 guys on it. I was home with 6 new tires at 0900. They may be a National corperation but the guys that work there are good ole home grown boys. I wish they had a tip bucket.

Did you get the replacement/road hazard certificates? They are well worth the money. Plus you get tire rotation I believe. Check it out.

I have nothing but praise for Discount Tires.....I bought the Michelon Tires for my tow vehicle a few years back, received an excellent price, great service and free rotation with balance every 6000 miles. I use them for all my tire needs and never hesitate to recommend them. An added plus for the RV crowd is that they are a national brand and have locations throughout the country. While attending the Nashville Rally a few years back, I purchased a tire monitoring system and had to install metal valves on my truck. I found a local DT and they installed the new valves with a minimal fee to cover the cost of the valves. The only con I can think of is that they are strictly a tire shop and do not do alignments......which is a bit strange.

Absolutely. I do a lot of off-roads driving for my job. I average about 1 ruined tire / year, no matter which brand I am using. The road hazard pays for itself. I have even taken my new vehicles there and purchased certificates for the OEM tires that came on the vehicle.
