Cyclone - Slide-out Hydraulic Ram Connection

I recently noticed the bed frame had pulled away from the slide out wall. When I remove the bed deck to reattach it I noticed the Hyd Ram connection has 3" of play. The threaded end has 2 nuts (one as a jam nut) that push on the frame connection and a Nyloc nut that pulls on the connection to retract the slide. There is about 3" of threaded rod between the tow nuts allowing the thread portion of the Hyd Ram to slide through the connection. Is this the correct set up or did someone forget to tighten the nyloc nut all the way to snug it up against the connecting bracket?

That's the way they are designed to operate for proper adjustments of open/close.
No one forgot to tighten a nut.
Peace

I rebuild my bed frame a few years ago too, and Dave is right about the Hyd. ram, thats the way it is adjusted.
