I have been looking for an RV Park that will handle 30 or more 5ers. Destiny just North of Dallas on I-35 East, can handle around 30 units. We may not all be located in one area, but we can still have a good time. The only date she has open this year before school starts is August 4-5-6 and I need to know ASAP if this date will do, I know that some of you have kids and school is an issue's. This location puts us close to our local Heartland dealer which has committed to helping me with this Rally ( Get together). I need your feed back ASAP to reserve this date and the number of units attending and allow local vendors to respond.

I will need volunteers for the raffle, horseshoe contest and any other event you suggest.
Someone to lead a how to class for our newbe's. Our local dealer will handle the Tech Tips Sessions.
I will lead the BS Session unless someone else is more qualified.

Lets get together and have a good time

PS Reply ASAP about the date August 4-5-6 2006 I only have a few days to set these dates before I lose them.

:( It doesn't look like I would have my Landmark until late August or possibly September (house closing postponed a few more weeks). I would however consider coming in the toyhauler (if it's not sold) but I'm planning on having it down the road before the Landmark delivery!

I was hoping for a fall date but that's just me:rolleyes: I sure hope the effort continues and I was also hoping that maybe I would be able to help but not sure about August. Keep us posted and maybe I'll be able to jump in here somewhere and be useful!:D

We should be taking delivery of our new Bighorn 3400RL the middle of next month (June).
But, we will not be coming your way on the way to the Rio Grande Valley until late December or early Jan. and on our back to Tennessee until late March.
Would like to rally sometime around there. My 2 cents worth.

...Well I am being out voted by full timers...but that is Ok...I can still be flexable....How bout putting something together near the Coushatta casino in LA or at the casino itself...We were there in Feb last year and visited with a rally.....just my 2 cents worth....

Although I'm not a Bighorn owner yet, I plan to be soon. I can vouch for the RV Ranch in Burleson, just south of Fort Worth as a very nice park that can accomodate 25-30 rigs. I am a member of the Texas Boomers club and we plan to have our Labor Day rally there. We usually have 20+ rigs at our rallies.

Sure Old Man, how old do you have to be to be call Old Man and is that by age or milage

Age, the wife tacked that name. We bought a new 2005 Mt. Rushmore last May. Haven't seen but two other Landmarks while camping in Arkansas. But, we haven't been on the road much since buying the unit. Our unit has been in the shop more than out. The wife fell in love with the looks of the unit. It is our first experience with owning a 5th wheel. We have always owned motor homes.

Ditto, my wife picked out our Golden Gate she walked in the door and we said will take this one, at least she picked the one I wanted.
