It's averaging $3.39 here in the Flint, MI area. As for all that supposed "oil" out west, don't forget that it's OIL SHALE. It can be mined and converted to oil, but currently at a higher cost than pumping it out of the ground. It's been no secret, just not economically feasible so long as it costs more than the liquid variety to convert to usable fuel.

Here in the Houston Tx area Kroger offers a 10 cent per gallon discount on their fuel (diesel or gasoline) for every $100 of items purchased at Krogers. This discount is also being offered by Shell stations as well as Kroger fuel stations. Bought some gasoline yesterday for $2.75 per gallon with the discount. Would have been $2.85 without the discount. Diesel in the Houston area is running $3.09 to $3.19 per gallon.

We are at 3.29 to 3.49 closer to the interstate. There is no doubt that Diesel will be close to 4.00 withing a year or so. Quicker than that if the economy truly rebounded.

We need to drill and to refine but the cost in making diesel after the price per barrel is the getting down to low sulfur. it will never go down if we do not convince the world we are going to drill more here and refine here. We have the crude but the BP snafu didn't help our efforts.

Same here, and during Christmas if you bought gift cards your points were multiplied by 4........we christmas shopped via gift cards and got $1.00 off per gallon (up to 35 gallon) then another 35 gallon at .50 off, gift cards are back down to double now, so we grocery shop off of Kroger gift cards. Otherwise it's running $3.19 to $3.25/ gallon.
