Dimming interior lights

We recently purchased our first Heartland Fifth Wheel Traveler 38 CB.. It's a 2021..
Our issue is that the bathroom and bedroom lights keep dimming.. I'll push on the fuses and they brighten back up.. The dealership says we had a power surge.. In actuality it was doing it while we were picking it up and of course the kid that was supposed to know everything didn't know jack.. He claimed it was just a low battery..
Any way we have a new battery, good power source, and it's still doing it.. They have suggested we bring the trailer to them and leave it for a few days.. Can't do that as we live in our fifth wheel and are on a job as volunteers.. The dealership is 2 hours away.. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this..

Your description sounds like a bad connection. If pushing on the fuse corrects the problem, I would start there.

Don't assume the fuse is good. Swap it with another of equal value to see if it corrects the problem.

If no, check the connection of the wires in the fuse panel. You will have to remove the cover to do this.
Since there is both AC and DC inside the panel, remove the shore power first.
Check that all the wires on the DC fuse block are fully engaged, tight and secure. Check the ground side wires as well.

If you still have the problem, check the wires connected to the wall switch for a loose connection.

If the lights are still dimming you might have to take each light down and check the connections at the each one.

Hopefully, one of these will fix your problem.

Check that the fuse is plugged in correctly on the board. It is real easy to plug in one leg of the fuse and miss the second. If so it maybe be making slight connection.

Thank you for the information.. We will check everything you suggested.. We’re not novices to RV life.. Just never had a Heartland before.. Our last fiver was brand new and didn’t have previous problems..

If it might happen again look for loose connections where your wires go into the back of your 120v &12v fuse panels. I have found loose connections & even connections that have come apart. Over road travel can jostle a lot of connections and fittings on an RV.

We know all to well how traveling Americas highways can jostle things loose.. :)
