East Coast Rally

Several of us thought it would be nice to get together and meet. Our time frame is the weekend of October 7, 2006 at Willow Tree Campground, Myrtle Beach. SC. At that time of the year the site cost will be $35.00 per night plus 10% tax, including water, sewer, and (20-30-50 amp) electric. If any member has a "Good Sam" Camping Card the 10% discount will apply.

The idea is try to keep it as simple as possible. I do not want to have to collect money, and keep updating the people at the campground etc. So if you would like to attend go to the web site: Reservations@WillowTreeRVR.com or call them at 866-207-2267 tell them you are with the Heartland group they will put us together. There are a lot of activities in the Myrtle beach area such as discounted tickets for the Carolina Opry, discounted rate for golfing at Black Bear Golf Course and Crown Park Golf Course which is near the campground, and for you gamblers they also have a connection with the Southern Elegance Casino Boat in Little River, SC. The campground also has a large meeting hall so we can gather for a potluck dinner and meeting. Not to far away there is the Myrtle Beach Camping World for anybody who needs that special RV accessory.

If you can make it to the East Coast Rally and you do make your reservations post a reply to this thread so we know how many people are planning to attend.

One additional note register early the campground will hold 15 sites open for the rally until September 7, 2006. If you call after September 7, 2006 you may not be sited with the group.

Willow Tree is a wonderful campground - we have been there before. It is new - just about three years old and they are still in the building process. But Trailer Life rates this campground about 10 across the board. Anyway, we plan to attend.

You peaked my interest. Count me the wifey and our golden retriever in.

Been going to MB for 15 years now. Always stay at PirateLand or Ocean Lakes.

This place you mentioned will be a new interesting place to try.

Looking forward to this.

Willow Tree looks like a great place. Nice job on the web site. First time I have seen the term "buddy site". I think it's a great concept. You guys are going to have a nice time.

Willow Tree looks real nice! I didn't know anything about it until I saw it on this fourm. We would love to come but that is our choir retreat weekend. I have just got to make it to one of these rallys so that we can meet everyone. It sounds like so much fun!

I've put it on my calendar. I've visited the CG but have not yet camped there. Saw that a few sites even have personal hot tubs! Sounds like a winter trip needs to be planned as well!

Heartland help

I sent a PM to Scott inviting the Heartland folks. He said that he would try to assist in some way and he and/or another Heartland person would try to attend the East Coast Rally. It looks like it is shaping up to be a good one.

Phranc,

That sounds great I think so far we have 4 maybe 5 that are going to attend. I will check with Willow Tree today and get a report. It will be good to put a face to all the folks that have been posting on the forum.

Just made my reservation. Check-in the 6th of Oct and check-out the 8th.

While speaking with Mary, the person taking my reservation, she indicated that they have two Heartland rally's going on at different times. This confused her for a minute or two until I specifically mentioned Heartland RV's. Apparently they also have a XXXX Heartland rally, referring to the Midwest area Ii think.

I'm good-to-go and will definitely be there for the east rally.

Hi all,
Let me tell you if you are going to Willow Tree, you are in for a treat! I wish that we could make it but we have other plans. Any way, we were at Myrtle Beach and took a side trip to check out Willow Tree. It is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever seen and the people running it are top notch! It is much better than the pictures on the internet so have a good time and maybe we can make it next time.

Rally update

Hi All

I have been working on getting the meeting hall reservation for the rally. It is reserved for October 6, 7,& 8th.

My suggestion is we can do a potluck dinner and greet one another on Friday, October 6th.

On Saturday the 7th maybe in the afternoon we can have a round table discussion (NOT a ***** session) about Heartland and our coaches and/or tow vehicles. (The Heartland folks have been invited and Scott has said he will try to have someone there).

Later in the evening a potluck dinner or if we can arrange it a catered BBQ if we can find someone to handle it. Still working on this one.

Suggestion for Sunday October 8th perhaps a breakfast before leaving for home.

PLEASE, Do not take these suggestions as the way it is going to be they are only suggestions. If someone has more input and would like to do something different by all means jump in a let your self be heard!!!

Hi Dave,
Question about the rally. Are non-Landmark owners invited to the rally. We have some friends, that we camp with ,that have just purchased a new 5th wheel. It is not a Landmark, ( we tried to change their mind) could we invite them to come ? Just wondering. Thanks
