Does anyone have any recommendations on which route to take from Amarillo, TX to the South Entrance of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming? The route with the least amount of steep grades? I'd appreciate any help.
If you want the absolute route with the least grades, take 287 north to I-70 to I -25 to I-80 to Rock Springs then north from there. A slightly shorter route will take 287 from Rawlins but you will go over one pass which is not very bad at all.
