2011 34qsrl elkridge,...I am having 2 tv issues, 1 very few channels being recieved and when the bedroom tv is on and booster is on there is no reception on the living room tv ... how do you test the cables for a bad antennae or bad cables

checked all connections and are tight and appear in good condition

You might consider replacing the connectors on the cable leading to the antenna. Although, the connectors appeared good, I replaced mine recently after swapping out a TV and found that the original TV got nearly as many as the new TV after replacing the connector.

Your other issue could possibly be caused by having the cable TV input and 2nd tv output swapped on the back of the booster. This was an issue in my first NT. While you have the cables disconnected, replace the connectors here too.

We still have a similar issue. When our bedroom lights are on, we dont get any TV reception at all. Pretty sure its some RF noise created by the DC lighting. We also found almost all the coax connections were barely tight...so check that first.

LED lighting can generate quite a bit of RF Noise. You could try using a snap on RF choke on the wire near each light fixture. This also works on fan motors too.
