Re: Entance Door - Window
What I did was remove the existing fogged window and put in my "End of the Trail" window. Used some clear silicone, but before I added the silicone I took some of the blue painters masking tape and put over the edge of the frame and on the window, just leaving the area I want to cover open.
I applied the silicone on the open area then took my finger and ran it around the entire area removing the excess silicone and pressing as much as needed to get the silicone to squeeze between the window and frame. I let it dry for a day then removed the blue painters tape.
I use the same method to caulk all around my trailer when I need to replace or repair the caulking. It has worked great for me so far and you can't tell there is any silicone around the window.
Before I put the window in I used a bit of light sand paper and ruffed up the frame just a little bit and sprayed it with outdoor white paint. The frame had turned yellow, as most all of them do over time. This makes the frame stay white with the outside finish of the door. You can see this in my photo posted earlier.
