HOC Nevada 2021 Chapter Rally update as of February 17, 2021
Hi Folks, time is flying by and before you know it our June 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] through 6 Rally at Gold Ranch in Verdi will be here.
I wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on where we are with the planning as well as recruit some help.
Gold Ranch has agreed to expand our block to 45 and we now have 41 spaces committed.
Tentative Agenda
Thursday, June 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]: Pot luck Appetizer Meet and Greet starting at 5 PM? Bring a favorite appetizer and beverage to share. Water will be provided.
FIRST SHOUT OUT: We would like to find one of our musically talented member/s who might like to volunteer to share an hour or so of your talent to a very appreciative audience. Len ???
Friday, June 4[SUP]th[/SUP]: Still in the planning stages. There are plenty of potential excursions that might interest folks such as Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, Cabela’s, Scheels, the outlets at Legends, the casinos, and more.
UPDATE Saturday: June 5[SUP]th[/SUP]: due to the number of folks registered, we have decided we have decided to contact with a caterer. The menu remains the same, Santa Maria Style BBQ, including Tri Tip, Chicken, beans, salad, and Garlic Bread. As the caterer is doing the entire menu we will not be having the bean recipe contest
SECOND SHOUT OUT Update : We will need a few folks to help out on the serving line as we are pretty sure COVID restriction will not let us do a buffet-style
Entertainment ?? Open to suggestions.
Additional Stuff:
RV WASH AND WAX: We are making arrangements for a mobile detailer to be on-site one or possibly two days if there is enough interest. Shooting for Friday and maybe Saturday.
Mobile Tech: We are working with a tech we use all the time to secure having him on stand by for Friday and Saturday, more once we finalize the plan.
