I am happy to announce we have chosen our give back to the community program for our rally and this year we will be sponsoring HONOR FLIGHT OF ROCHESTER(HFR):
Here is a little history on this Organization. It is a non-profit, fully volunteer organization with a goal of taking any Veteran from WWII, Korean or Vietnam Wars who otherwise would not or could not go and wants to fly to Washington DC to visit the Memorials Built in their Honor for free. The two-day HFR trip is fee to all WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War. It is also open to veterans of any era who suffer a catastrophic illness. The organization was formed by Earl Morse a Physician's Assistant and Retired Air Force Pilot. In 2004, he was working for the VA in Springfield, Ohio when the WWII Memorial was dedicated. In the spring of 2005, he and five former Air Force Veterans leased 6 small planes at their own expense and flew 12 WWII veterans on what would be America's First Honor Flight. There are approximately 130 Honor Flight Network in 42 states. Since 2005, nearly 160,000 veterans have experienced "the gift of an Honor Flight". To date HFR have done 55 missions and have escorted 2477 Veterans. There website is
