I just want to send out a big THANKYOU to Sutton RV for their sponsorship of our rally. Dinner was great and people really enjoyed walking through the new Landmarks brought in as demos.
Also thanks to RV Lock for their donation of a keyless door lock. Jim Beletti got it installed within minutes of its purchase tonight. Proceeds from the auction for the lock will be given to Dogs For The Deaf. Thanks Julie and Sonja for your generosity!
Henderson's Lineup donated one axle of the Joy Rider system to our chapter. We auctioned that off (thanks again Julie and Sonja) with the proceeds being split between Dogs For The Deaf and the chapter. Robert and Barb Hendeson also spent hours and hours doing free suspension and steering inspections of RVs and trucks for people who asked. They didn't leave until 11:30PM that night, having completed some of the inspections after the owners had already gone to bed. They left a written report of any issues they found along with any recommendations they had for that coach and TV. This is the fourth time Henderson's has provided this service to the OR chapter free of charge, after traveling for hours to get to the rally location. We really appreciate their support of our chapter.
SkyMed did an informative session on the medical transport services they provide. People seemed to find it interesting enough that some signed up for the service. SkyMed also held a cheese and wine tasting session after their presentation and provided a bottle of wine to our raffle. Thanks!
Rally attendees provided lots of raffle prizes that helped generate lots of money for the chapter to use to cover rally expenses. In addition to all of the great prizes attendees always provide, Rod and Kelly Ditrich provided a King Jack Digital TV antenna to our chapter. Thank you Rod and Kelly! That was a generous donation and thank you to the Kramers for being the top bidders in the auction for this item.
Once again, The Mill Casino and RV Park provided a nice venue and many amenities to make our rally enjoyable. They have gone out of their way both years here to make sure we get the things we need when we need them Amy and Barb, you rock!
Jim and Nancy Beletti, we really appreciate you taking the time to come out and visit us in WA and OR this year. It's good to see HL support our club by providing an Owners Club and allowing the pres. to travel to events to show that support. Besides, we just like having you guys around! haha
We could not pull off a rally without a crew of volunteers to do all of the tasks like setting up and cleaning up the meals along with cooking, campfires, shopping, etc. A huge THANKYOU to my CREW for making things happen, especially this year when my physical limitations slowed me down. Mark, I could not do this without your help and support all year, and especially during the event when there is always something that needs to be moved and plans are always being adjusted.
I'm sure I've forgotten something or someone I'm thankful for. That doesn't mean I value it any less, just that it is late and I'm exhausted. We have our farewell breakfast in a few hours, then many people will head on to their next stop.
Travel Safe Everyone. We are already starting the process of planning next year!
