22 days until we descend on Bedford, PA!! I guess it's time to start thinking about our Potluck selections for Saturday evening. As you graciously provide them, I will add your selections to the attendees list in post #1 of the thread.

Sorry, The Grahams and the north trail will have to sit this one out. We attended our first Florida rally a couple months ago and a weekend getaway a couple weeks ago and the NT has been resting ever since.

We'll miss you guys but it sounds as if you're getting the hang of that FLA life. Hug Nikkie for me.

Thanks guys. I have all the Potluck selections posted at Post #1.

Bill, I really dislike the Redskins but I've never heard of "Panther" Potato Salad so I'll just have to let it go!!

*** REMINDER ***

The campground will be hosting a Blood Drive in conjunction with their "Safety Day" events on Saturday. We challenge all rally participants to donate a "pint of life" as part of our Heartland Gives Back Initiative; so as a reminder......NO DISQUALIFYING TATTOOS NOR BODY PIERCINGS prior to donation day!!!

In addition, as part of our "Heartland Gives Back" initiative we will be collecting donations for the Bedford County Humane Society (http://www.bchsonline.org/).

As promised here is a copy of the e-mail we received in its entirety from the Bedford County Humane Society Treasurer, Lori Copley:

"Hello Nona and Dave,
It was good to speak with you as well and we are very excited that your group would like to support our organization!

Here are some of the items that we need: dry cat and dog food (any brand), canned dog food, puppy and kitten food, cat litter (any kind), paper towels, Simple Green (we have to be careful of what cleaning products we use as some are toxic to cats), dish liquid, laundry detergent, Walmart gift cards (we use these to buy small items like light bulbs and mop heads), office supplies (copy paper, stamps, envelopes), dog and cat treats and toys. We also appreciate monetary donations. As treasurer, I "tag" that money and we use it for whatever the donor specifies or it can go into the general fund.

Two services that people like to donate to are the spay/neuter program and Bea's Fund. We like to have our animals altered before they leave our care but that depends on the funds available. Bea's Fund is an account that we use for injured animals that require a lot of veterinary care. It's called Bea's Fund because we had a puppy (we named her Bea) come to the shelter after being thrown from a car. Her surgeries were quite expensive and, in the end, she died of her injuries. However, through Bea's Fund, we are able to pay for the necessary care for other injured animals. I think your members will be able to choose something from this list!

At least one or two of us would love to come to the potluck and meet you and your members! Please keep in touch and let me know if there is anything that we can do for you!

Again, thank you for your interest in helping the animals,
Lori Copley, BCHS Treasurer"

Nona & I would like to thank you in advacne for any and all donations you can provide for these worthy causes.

THANK YOU!

Hi Nona and Dave, we had to cancel our Gillette WY plans so have rearranged schedule to attend your rally. We will be coming from the TN rally but will try to arrive in daylight (LOL), although we still fondly remember a previous PA rally arriving late at night where we received a warm welcome from Freckles, the personal escort to the site from TrukNutt, and that blinding spotlight provided by the Diesel Engineer. We will arrive Friday 6/8 and have been assigned site #210. Looking forward to seeing you all again and having a great time.

Sorry about your Gillette plans but, it's great that you can make it to our little party! Would you please PM your mailing address & contact number for my records?

Thanks...see you there!

Hello Everyone,

We are going to have t-shirts for the rally, after all. They will be 100% pre-shrunk cotton by Gildan. They will be ash-gray with a unique design that compliments Heartland and the community. The price will be $15.00 and you can pay us at the rally. We need to know by 28 MAY if you want a t-shirt and the size. The t-shirts are based on men's sizes. Sorry for the late notice the designer has been swamped with other committments.
Thanks
