EVENT: Heartland Regional Rally: NV, Sparks - 7/3/2014 to 7/7/2014

Just made reservations to pull the trailer all of 10 miles from home to the RV park! Will be there 7/3-4-5 and head home on the 6th. Loking forwad to very first Rally.

I just posted on the origional thread dinner and show times for Saturday night. If you havent signed up with the park yet, now is the time so that I can keep a head count on who is going to attend this great event. There is alot to do in the area and we are planing to have another fun rally put on by Heartland for all of the Heartland owners. An all American potluck on Friday night followed by the fourth fireworks, dinner and show at the Eldorado Hotel on Saturday Night. The show is called (Dance Inferno) I know this wil be another great time.

We made our reservations. Arriving on July 2 and departing on July 8. We just joined. Henny White, who is heading our central California chapter rally, talked us into it. We will be looking forward to seeing everyone.

Come on all you Heartland club members out there, this rally is a little over a month away and we need to fill up this park with nothing but Heartland RV's. So all of you in the Pacific Region lets get signed up for this rally and make it the Biggest ever put together in the Region.
By the way, this will be our first rally and I just don't see a lot of people signing up.

12 Reasons to Attend Western Regional Campout July 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Weekend at Sparks, Nevada
1. Being a Regional Rally, Heartland is chipping a lot more in than they do for the chapter rallies. See following the points.
2. Heartland is buying attendees a Casino Buffet Dinner.
3. Heartland is buying attendees Casino show tickets.
4. Heartland Owners Group President Jim Beletti and Wife Nancy are flying in from the East Coast for this event. (Heartland pays for this, too)
5. You can meet other Western Heartland Owners
6. You can compare rigs, look at rig custom modifications.
7. You can set your chairs outside and watch the nearby Nugget Casino fireworks from your rig.
8. You can “play” with the “one armed bandits”.
9. Lake Tahoe, the number 1 outdoor recreation venue in the United States, is ½ hour away.
10. Sparks Marina Park Lake is only a few hundred yards away, with fishing, bike & running trails, and a swim area.
11. The Truckee River, with its bike trail to downtown Reno, is only 1.5 miles away.

SOLAR POWER PANEL, CONTROLLER AND WIRING FOR SALE
For all those attending the Sparks Pacific Regional Rally, I have decided to sell the solar battery recharging system I bought and never fully installed in the Bighorn last year. The panel is a residential-type, 3' x 5', aluminum framed, 220 Watt, 28 volt, that I re-enforced with a center tube on the back, but never fully installed on my rig. The panel glass has been covered with cardboard since I got it. I had previously installed the wiring and controller, but will now remove those items for sale. The panel has "Tyco-style" connectors. I paid $200 for that panel ( and drove 160 miles round trip to get it back to Sacramento), the MPPT controller was bought on E-Bay for about $100. I have a manual for that. I will sell the system for $150 at Sparks. You will need panel mounting brackets and hardware, I was planning to use heavy duty angle brackets and rubber expansion anchors. The typical Heartland roof has an upward bow of about 2 inches.
First one to claim it gets it. PM me if you are interested in advance of the rally.

Mean bosses finally relented and gave us time off!! So...we would like to join your rally and have made reservations arriving on 7/3 and departing 7/7. Already looking forward to meeting everyone and the Casino show and buffet.

Hope you are both well and sorry I haven't talked to you for a while. All is going great here but very busy. Sadly we will not be attending the Regional Rally in Sparks again this year but we have decided to leave on Sunday morning for an extended trip to Alaska and back. We hope to meet all at the Jackson Rally, providing we are back by then. It is still our hope to make that one at this time. Hope you all have a great time in Sparks, and just know we will be anxious to see everyone in September.
