Well, at least I know someone has gone that way! Always wonder taking new roads, especially some of the "less traveled" ones! Breakfast, this morning? I'm not sure if I'm in bed, or mowing the yard! Must not be either, sitting in a recliner with some electronic thing on my lap & a guy in this tube thing telling me how states got their shapes...hmm just where am I? BTW the electronic thing AIN'T vibrating!

Thanks for that little tidbit Kevin! I was going to ask the question as we cannot pick the trailer up at the dealership until Saturday afternoon. We will depart directly from there with an empty refer! :( We will definately need to do some shopping (cold/frozen foods especially) when we get to the Fairgrounds. We should still be in on Sunday but no idea what time. Thanks for reading my mind!

BTW, you can buy your beer in that Wal-Mart! Save you some traveling weight; not that you guys consume a lot!! Have a safe trip!

FYI,
I believe there is a little Indiana law that prohibits beer/liqour sales on Sundays. Found out three weeks ago when I had to leave my case at the register, plan ahead.

With all that we have been through I think John will have a chat with "Jack" when we get there! No Sunday sales are not a problem for us!

Re: EVENT: Heartland International Rally: IN, Goshen - 6/15/2011 to 6/19/2011

I'm holed up in my RV/Office today producing rally documentation and such, but I am ready for breakfast at Ray and Lin's at 9 :)

Having a great time here already. Everyone is pitching in picking things up for me, delivering checks, escorting people to sites etc. HUGE thank you to Marv/Karen and Kevin/Nelly! I'd be under water without you guys :( Thank you!!!

Not sure how many RVs we have here now (Sat morning) but I am guessing 25. More to arrive today and a HUGE amount to arrive Sunday.

Golf carts have arrived for my team and the parking team. The balance of the rental carts arrive soon with the rentals beginning Tuesday morning.

Just an FYI,,, if your traveling East on I 70 on the South side of Terra Haute,,, be prepared for a major slow down....traffic is one lane and was backed up 4 to 5 miles yesterday... took us 1 1/2 hours to travel the construction area of 4- 5 miles..

Anyone else staying over in Cave city, Ky. Sunday evening?
I can't wait to get on the way to the rally!
Al & Donna calling and telling me how much fun I am missing is making me want to head out sooner.

General Rally Update from my view...

Worked on rally documentation most of the day.

Left the RV about 5pm today. I'd say we've got about 30 rigs here now - on our way to 220!

Made the rounds. It's getting cool here. Been in the 80s/90s all week but it's cooling off now. I heard we'll dip to 48 tonight.

Had a yummy dinner over at Ken and Kathy Strong's with Rick and Blanca, Jim and Bette, Bill and Barb, Kevin and Nelly, Marv and Karen and more. Nice time. Thanks for the chow!

Everyone travel safe and happy camping.

We are leaving Illinois early in the morning, will be in DH7 late afternoon, all things being equal. Will have tales to tell of packing to move the week after we get "home' to IL, headed to TX to our forever home. Naqn

Looks like my schedule shows about 40+ of you pulling in tomorrow, really hoping there isn't some big scheme to have everyone arrive at one time. Would look very nice rolling into town but could cause quite the jam at the fairgrounds gate. We all look forward to seeing everyone here regardless of your timing. Safe travels to all so we can rally on.

cdbMidland,
Chuck B.,
Could you please email or private message me about service. We have a problem on the way here, wondering if we can change our service request at this late date.
It is a cracked nipple on the water heater. Not sure if they will help with this.
thanks,
Nita

Swap European Recliner for Standard Recliners?

Anyone interested in doing a swap at the Rally contact Boca Shuffles (Tom & Bobbi) at site 250. We have two taupe leatherette recliners might might be interested in swapping.

Cell phone is 248-345-2478.

Nita and Wayne,

Sorry to hear about this on your way here. The list is locked at this time. However, I feel your best bet is to check in, in person at the Service Tent when you arrive. They should have their office setup by 10 am Monday.

If you have any chance at all to pickup a brass check valve at a hardware store, you'll be better served using that as your replacement, whether you do the work or if the Service team will. I don't know the size or style of fittings/threads but others may weigh in here.

jimtoo was 100% correct about the mess near Terra Haute. We were lucky though, it only took us 45 min to get through the mess. Made a big difference going through there on late Sun. afternoon though! Spending the night in Anderson, IN. only about a 2 hr drive tomorrow.

Jim, Thanks. Wayne does want to use a brass one, but as you said, we may need someone that has changed it out to help us out on getting the size until we can get this one out. Hoping it comes out easily.
thanks for the info.
