External LP connection

There is an external propane connector for a gas grille or whatever on my 21RBSS. When I hook up a grille and open the shutoff valve, gas flows, but not enough pressure to even heat the grille to cook. Its seems weird, so I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this, and what's the deal?

have to get different hose without a regulator as the regulator by the tanks lower the psi for everything connected. With the grill hose you have two regulators lowering the psi too much.

But does your grill have a regulator?
Remember when you hook up to a LP tank any other time there is a regulator that reduces to proper pressure.

We picked up a grill at Camping World that is specifically made to work off the low pressure propane connection on the RV. The brand we got is Aussie Grills, but there are others.
