FIRMAN generators

Has anyone here had any real life experience with FIRMAN generators?
A fellow camper purchased one from Lowes.ca a couple weeks ago and we helped her un-package and set it up to run in a short amount of time.
I was pleased with the clear instruction and ease of set up.
The part that totally blew us away was the initial start up.......
After oil and fuel........a quarter pull of the cord and it fired up.....leveled out running almost immediately
I have only seen this level of operation with the higher end units like Honda and Yamaha lol.
So far the unit has preformed well and handled everything thrown at it including a massive turkey dinner with multiple slow cookers and electric ovens in use together.
It also seems to be easy on fuel with a light load as advertised.

Here is the specs from lowes site.

That 4500 watt unit will power a lot of stuff.
It has a decibel rating of 68 while the Honda EM400 is 71 db. Given that decibles are logarithmic the Fireman is quite a bit quieter.
Might be a decent unit.
What's the number on the price tag for that little gem?

Peace
Dave

On sale this week for $379 at Lowes ca
We grabbed one to replace our champion 3000 watt unit
It even has a 30 amp plug in which is a nice feature
I see other bigger ones have a 50 amp plug in.
Another bonus is the hour meter to keep track of maintenance schedules rather than guestimating hours of use lol

FWIW....

This is not an inverter generator, so the AC is block wave not sine wave. This has a big potential to damage electronic devices, as the harmonic distortion should be less than 6%, which inverter based generators can achieve. Block wave is closer to 9%

So, if you're running power tools...no problem. If you plan to power stuff like computer, phone, etc.... the potential for damage is higher.
