Fluorescent Ceiling lights in 2010 Augusta

Has anyone had problems with the lights dimming and then going out? It's not the bulbs. It started with one of the kitchen lights going bad but the other light on the same switch was working. I changed the fixture from the one over the stairs and it worked for aprox. 2 weeks then went out and a week later the other fixture on the same switch went out. If it's the fixture then who carries a replacement?

Bad ballasts? You may be able to find them online if you can get the nomenclature off one.

Check with Heartland Parts Dep't and don't forget your HOC discount on parts. Heartland changed vendors on the fluorescents, but the new ones are direct replacements except that the plastic diffuser looks a bit different and the wires coming out of the fixture may have to be extended a few inches so the wire nuts can be tucked up into the hole in the ceiling. I'm pretty sure the new fixtures don't share the ballast problems of the older ones.
