Flying Insect Guard for Generator Door

Greetings All.

Don't know if this is the right place, and can't find any info regarding this subject so far, so here goes. Does anyone put 1/8" screen wire over their generator door opening to keeping flying insects out?

With our Onan 5500 factory installation, the door stays closed while running the generator. The ventilation is from underneath. In the trailer manual, while there are numerous safety warnings regarding use of the generator, having the compartment door open doesn't seem to be one of them.

We just auto start Generator and never open the door unless it's for maintenance.
