Going to Florida

If you were going to Florida from Kentucky, which would be the easier pull?
I-65 to Nashville and I-24 to Chattanooga to I-75 or
take I-75 from Lexington all the way?

I have driven both many times and would be inclined to go down I75 all the way... plus its about 80 mi shorter.

How are the hills compared to what's on I-24?

We lived in Ft Wayne, IN and did both routes, many times, but much preferred the I24 route. It seemed less traffic and a more pleasant drive.

The hills through southern KY and northern TN on I-75 are not bad at all. I-24 actually has some steeper ones between Nashville and Chattanooga.

I'd stick with I-75 the whole way.

Howdy!

It has been awhile but as its not so much going up but as I recalled there's a pretty steep grade coming down into Chattanooga isn't there.

It really depends on what side of FL you're going too, east or west? East I 40---I 26---I 95. West I 75. Middle I 75 FL turnpike. All the roads are good, but I would rather take a punch in the mouth than deal with Atlanta the traffic is always bad. The last time it took over 3 hours to get from north to south.
