Gray tank overflow?

Was sitting out having coffee under the awning Sunday morning and saw water coming from the front of the underbelly. We had another couple stay with us for the weekend and wife did not check the gray before getting in the shower. Pulled the valve and it stopped but obviously had some water in the belly. Is that how that tank overflows or should it have started backing up in the shower? Also any long term problems with the underbelly from the water?

It should have backed up into the shower. You likely have a plumbing leak or a leak in the PVC vent stack.

Did some checking while I was installing the EMS unit and couldn't find a leak in the grey vent stack. Did however find that the black tack vent was cracked where it goes into the tank. Being the gentle person I am I snapped it completely trying to see how bad it was cracked. Have a temp fix on it now but was told of a PVC repair patch that would screw onto the tank above the opening and allow me to reconnect the 1 1\2 pipe to it. Anybody know of such a fix.

Look for a PVC socket flange in a plumbing department. The flange has screw holes in it, so you could attach the flange to the tank over the hole. Glue the stack pipe into the flange.
