Help with Tornado black tank flush system

Just bought the tornado black tank flush nozzle kit from CW. I have a Trail Runner SLE 27 BHK and when I got underneath camper to start installing the nozzle...the black tank is shaped wierd and the template doesn't sit right on the tank...kind of folds over the bottom. Not sure I can get a good install of this nozzle without it leaking really bad. The top inch or so of the tank is larger around than the bottom 2 inches or so. The template and nozzle housing need about two inches of flat tank to install and I don't quite have that. Has anyone successfully installed the tornado on a tank like this? and if so.....how? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Hubie7,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. There's lots of useful information here along with a great bunch of friendly and helpful people.

I'm not familiar with the Tornado kit or the Trail Runner tank, but perhaps another Trail Runner owner has already been through this.

Hubie7, As long as there is enough clearance inside the tank for the flusher to spin and spray, you should be OK. Will there be enough room on the outer surface to get all of the mounting screws into the tank? A picture would help show your situation if you can get at it to take one.

I will try to get some taken this evening....loading up for a weekend out. Thanks for the response. I didn't want to start drilling holes until I was 100% happy with the install.
