Wrestling ours out was like trying to get a python to let go of its prey - so I took some olive oil in a spray bottle to it, finally came out 4'. My son the plumber is going to replace it with a 6' flex hose (I never know what that kid is talking about) and he also wants to 're-do' many of the fittings and connections. While Mom is a little leery she does remember when he took the telephone apart and put it back together, while the ringer acted funny it still worked. Not bad for a then 4 year old.
I'll post up pictures in about a month. It will be after its been at the repair shop and right before his wedding because he doesn't want to be anywhere near his future bride and her sister on the planning and set up - Mom is a good excuse I think but its a deal I can't pass up
