Lifting A Fiver

I'm adding Centramatics to my Bighorn. Does anyone have anything to share on jacking these things up one wheen at a time? I've got a 12 ton hydraulic bottle jack and I'm assuming that I can lift by the axle close to each wheel as I pull it. Four wheels, four lifts. Am I missing anyting here? Any lookouts outside of the obvious flat surface and wheel chocks. Actually, I'm keeping it hooked to the truck for saftey.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Yes, use the manual setting and lift a little at a time left and right and front. If your going to be under the rig block the frame

You may need to put blocks under the levelup jacks to get the necessary lift. If you lift both sides of the rear until wheels are almost off the ground, and then finish by lifting slightly on one side, you'll avoid getting an excessive angle error message.

Heartland/Dexter/Lippert all strongly recommend against jacking on the axle. The outer covering is easily damaged.

On the few occasions I've wanted to work under the rig with some decent height, I've also used LevelUp in manual mode to raise the coach with all 6 jacks. I don't do that with the truck connected as the stroke length of the front jacks would be too much for my hitch (pull it apart or wreck upper deck of coach). With all 4 tires off the ground - can't chock them but as Jon suggests, consider blocking the frame - even if it's with some heavy duty jack stands. Love LevelUp!

I use the level up also but only to take the weight off the trailer then use a bottle jack to just raise the tire enough to get it off. I am always concerned about flipping my shackles.
