On the subject of cleaning your rig while on a campground, are most of them ok with that or do you have to clean it in a designated wash area?

Probably depends on the campground and how long you stay. Our CG says no washing of rigs, but since I'm on a seasonal site, they don't have a problem with it (I asked). The transient sites, probably not allowed. One of their summer workers (a regular from the area) will wash/wax rigs for a nominal fee. Sometimes I'll have her do it while we're away, just to help her out.

The last campground we stayed at charged $8 for you to be able to wash your rig. $5 for your truck.

Almost all the campgrounds we have been in had "rules" against washing your rig on your site. A couple had wash areas.
