I know that there have been posts on this subject before. While In AZ this year, this fixture started coming down. There was a very loud crack when this happened. I am now working on this issue and it appears that The 3" screws on one end barely hit the stud. I am waiting for my Walabot to arrive to get a better picture of the slide ceiling structure. Here is my progress thus far. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what the structure looks like?
Done! the fix included 3" X 3" square X 1" thick blocks glued and screwed to ceiling where the original screw holes were. If it comes down now, it will bring down the entire ceiling!
