Load duel vs. single

When looking at a tire load chart there is understandably a difference in the load for duel and single tires. I know that on a motorhome the rear wheels would be duel and you would use the duel chart. However, on a 5th wheel the tires are not side by side but still fairly close. Would you use the single load chart or the duel chart?

While they are close, they are still independent of each other due to the way the suspension works with the leaf springs and equalizer. I would therefore assume you would use the single tire portion. Shoot an email to the manufacturer though just to double-check. If you do email them, let us know the official answer!

Dual air pressures are for tires that are mated to the same wheel position. They are automatically reduced in carrying capacity by 10%, compared to a single wheel position. Don’t over think a relatively easy application.

“Dual” would be like the two tires on the same side on the rear of a dually pickup.
