LV RV Parks

Hello,

I am looking for anyones input on decent RV parks in the Vegas/Henderson area. If the park is good it will be for a long time stay as the unit will be lived in but unable to move from time to time especially in the fall. So I guess what I am saying is any park between now and October and another one (or the same) that will allow a 4 month stay without changing sites. Criteria would be as follows: safe, clean, pets ok, and a pool. Of course cost plays into it but those are the initial thoughts.

Las Vegas RV Resort is gated, 24 hour security, very clean, and generally a very nice place to stay.

Check out some of the smaller casinos on the Boulder Highway (out by Las Vegas RV Resort). I don't know if they want long term RVers, but there are quite a few of them, and I think they are cheaper. I might take a look at RV Park Reviews.com which besides the reviews for the city you select, has clickable links at the top right of the page to adjacent cities to make your searching easier.
I stayed a weekend at Las Vegas RV Resort in late January, and was satisfied. WalMart within 1/4 mile. That's a handy place to get gambling cash (sale cash back) instead of paying $3-4 at the casino ATM's.

I just checked out this park yesterday (I had an hour to kill before a store I needed to go to was open): http://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/

This place has an adult pool and a youth pool, accepts pets, and has an on-site breakfast/lunch cafe. Security is managed by a manned access station and he required us to have a pass just to go to the lobby. Sites are flat and, well, sparse with little or no grass. Some trees and palm trees. Plenty of bathrooms located throughout the property. Small convenience store on-site, exercise room, ballroom, planned activities, etc. They have a little chipping golf course that is not noteworthy and I don't know how many holes it has. The park is located on the South side of Vegas, adjacent to I-15 but didn't really seem too noisy. I didn't inquire on pricing.

Just a 2nd thought on this topic:
If you are staying in Las Vegas from now through October, I hope your rig has 2 air conditioners, and electric is included (not metered) in your space rent. These trailers don't do too well in staying cool enough to live in in the extreme heat. Dual pane windows and dual air conditioners are recommended.

THe unit does have dual ACs however not the dual pane windows. I looked at the Oasis and it was my initial thought but a little spendy hence the intitial question to the forum. Also thought about the casinos on Bould Highway. I have lived in the area for 12 years but never in an RV. Has anyone stayed on Nellis? I inquired and looked at the website but any inputs would be helpful.

If your are talking about the air force base at nellis the spaces are big with alot of room.
