Carolyn and I traveled from south/central PA to Mystic, CT Sept 9 - 15th. Mystic is a wonderful area to visit for those of you who haven't stopped in there as yet. The town itself (actually a local Indian name, having nothing to do with "mystical") is small and quaint with a drawbridge over the tidal river, many small interesting shops, the actual "Mystic Pizza" shop made famous in the movie of that name, a historically recreated seaport lifted out of the 1800's, a great acquarium nearby, a fabulous indian museum a few miles north, gambling casinos, and the nearby sub base with a tour of the old Nautilus nuclear submarine. We stayed at the Morgan Resorts "Mystic Seaport Campground" near Old Mystic, CT. Nice campground but no three point hookups. They do allow a free honey wagon dump after four days and of course the usual dump stations. I would recommend it, but check the internet for specials before booking.
