New coach, but all waste tanks read 3/4 full right after dumping?

This thread got me thinking, and it hurts.
This summer if I feel ambitious I think I might try and design a system using proximity switches.
They would mount on the outside of the tank so there would be no contact with liquid.
I'll have to take a look at wiring and the back of the gauge to see if it is possible.

Peace
Dave

Can you stick a camera down the toilet to look at the condition of the tank and to make sure you don't have a blockage from something.

It's all three tanks showing 2/3. And they all dumped fine. A typical rush and lots draining.

BTW I emptied yesterday at 3ish. After dumping, all three said 2/3. This morning grey 2 says full (4 lights) other two the full light flashes but stays at 2/3 (3 lights). That's after one shower, some dishes and typical toilet use.

Can you access the sensor points inside where the readout is and disconnect them one by one. The camera would also let you see the sensors from the inside too. Maybe they are damaged.

Aren't all the probes spin weld types? Then there is the SeeLevel external sensor style.

When it burps, it dumps. Actually, with experience, you can tell by the sound if the flush when it's close to burping.

I have read where several people have changed out to the SeeLevel system that John mentioned and are much happier with it.

Yes I'd expect that, but it's all three tanks, showing 3 lights on all.

I wonder if maybe that tank meter panel is bad . . . and not the sensors?

I guess we've been lucky with both Heartlands we've owned . . .

So far both of the tank readouts (meter panel) seemed to work pretty accurately.

I tried the SeeLevel system on one of my coaches. They do work well. They are a bit expensive for 4 tanks. Not meaning to take anything away from a great product, I don't feel the peace of mind they gave me was worth the expense.

I don't care if they fail to read over time with use. I just want them to work correctly on a new coach. ;). When we get time, we'll pull the panel and look, as well as inform the dealer they may need to address it when we return for other warranty work.
