New cyclone 3712 owner leveling question

Just bought a cyclone 3712 a couple weeks ago used it 2 weekends once at a campground that was level side to side just had to unhook truck and lower landing gear a bit for front to back leveling. The next weekend we took it to our property where it will be stored and used the most. My property is not very level side to side i got it level after a bunch of trys and some large thick flat rocks they reminded me of sewer lids but thicker which actually worked great once we moved enough of them around and used my 2x12's to make ramps to pull the wheels up on them. I think i am going to pour a cement pad that will be permanent to make it a little more visually attractive. My question is what is the best procedure to level the camper in the least amount of trials if i am at a campground that is as out of level as my property so it doesnt take me so long to get setup? Andi am considering buyiing a set of those snap together levelers that look like lego's, i am wondering how many of those are used for a triple axle trailer i dont see one box of them being enough. Thanks for any suggestions i am new to such a large trailer and leveling it is the only struggle i have had so far

Hi hank52554,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

A lot of folks do use the yellow levelers like legos. Some, including me carry 2X10 and even some plywood squares to level with. A few times parking and you will be able to look over the unit when you get it where you want it and just eyeballit almost level by pulling up on boards. I do have one of the big levels mounted on the pin box that helps a lot with the side to side leveling.

I'm sure some of our other members will jump in with some comments also.

Enjoy the forum and think of joining the Heartland Owners Club and attending rallies and meeting other members.

I'm with Jim. We pull into a spot, check side to side level, then decide if we need to use the 2x8 or 1x8 or both. I'll move 10 feet, put the boards in place, then move back onto them and check level again. After doing this a few times you get pretty fast at it. We do have a couple sets of legos that I can go to in an emergency if I need more than the two boards I carry. They are pricey ($30 for 10) so you wouldn't want to buy enough of them to use soley for leveling a 3 axle. I use my leftovers under the rear stabilizer arms.

We have 3 sets of the lego-style, got them at Wal-Mart, when we had a TT. Covers most anything needed.

Like so many others I carry a set of 2 x 6 planks in various lengths with bevelled edges. I have a 6ft, a 5ft and a 4ft that I can stack as appropriate. I keep them in the back of the truck. If I'm going to a site that I know is level or reasonably level (ie paved), I might not take all three with me.

On the last trip I accidentally left the planks at home - but a 2 x 8 x 10 split in half at Lowes was less than $6!
