We have a 2014 Fairfield 401FK. We're looking for others who may have one or a similar one. We're been having a lot of issues with it and want to see if this is normal. Our water heater caught fire twice- they finally completely replaced the whole unit. The fantastic fan broke within 3 months, the back door lock didn't work from the beginning, none of our tip out lights worked, underbelly fell off when it was delivered, shock under our bed was broke, fiberglass has a huge hole in it, screws completely cut into the tip out exterior, trim falling off already and the latest....when we had it winterized they found a slice in our waterline to our refrigerator. We had no idea! It leaked all year! Our whole kitchen flooring is destroyed with cabinet damage and who knows what else. The dealer is being very difficult about everything.
We spoke to Heartland about it and they said the dealer has to attempt to fix it before they get involved with a replacement. I think it's crazy. They're not replacing everything. I have a bad feeling that in the summer we're going to get mold. No one at this point will listen to us.
Has anyone else had these sort of issues with their Fairfield? If so, what was done? You would think when an RV costs over $50,000 it would be built a little better. Thought we bought our dream RV. Very disappointed with the whole experience. I just want to enjoy it and move on.
thanks!
