What tire brand would you choose to put on a 15,000 pound Bighorn ?

Sailuns Load Range G, if you can get them.

I have Discount Tires private label G rated “Hartland” tires. No pun intended. Over 20K miles under them and performed well

We also recently went with the Hartland tires at Discount Tire. I liked the fact the specs are a little beefier than the Sailuns, having a higher speed rating so better temperature resistance. Just bought them though so no experience with them yet.

I just put 235/85 Sailuns on the Road Warrior on February 1st. I went to Best Drive here in Tolleson, Az., just on the west side of Phoenix. Six new tires were a total of $1278. So far, we only went down the road to our 2-month spot, so I got 4 miles on the tires.

Yes I did, just couldn't see spending $300+ for a wheel. When I purchased the wheels and tires, it was only $5.00 more per combo than just buying a new 16" tire. I now have a 6000 lb capacity per tire and wheel.

This is the wheel I have. Found them on EBay for $105 a piece delivered, but that was several years ago.

The topic caught my eye for some reason, then while reading it, I remembered that we have to get new sneakers for the BC this year as ones on it now are '17 vintage Sailuns.

Since I am waaaaay under the weight rating of 24,000+ for the set, I have no worry of having any issues at 70mph, These tires run cooler than the 16"s they replaced with the same load, same routes, same speeds.

What tire brand would you choose to put on a 15,000 pound Bighorn ?

Sailun S637 which were the originals on our Bighorn in 2015. Put about 35000 miles on them and the only reason I changed them was the 5 year rule for the sidewalls as we spend most of our time in AZ. BIG-O ordered them for me at $175 each
