Hi all...we are going to be owners of the 2011 ElkRidge 34RLSA soon. Love the double rear slide and homey feeling. It will be so much more pleasant spending longer amounts of time in this one than our current one. I am hoping to share our experiences with everyone and maybe get some much needed help from other Heartland owners. Now to try and figure out this new site!!! ;)

Sandi,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. Hope you enjoy your new Elk Ridge as much as we have enjoyed our Bighorn.

Want to double your fun? You can join the Owners Club and meet so many new friends from all over the country when you attend rallies. One rally and you'll be hooked! I know, I speak from experience!

Welcome aboard Sandie, I hope everything turns out good on your new purchase and can get out there and enjoy it soon. I would bet that there in Arizona the weather is looking good already. It won't be long before you will be in that new Elkridge.

Hello Sandie,

Congrats on the new Elkridge. I hope you enjoy it has much as we have enjoyed ours. We have had ours for about 5 months and have been many places. It has been a very solid RV for our family.

Just make sure you do a really good PDI when you pick it up. Most items we had where very small items. The ones that are biggies are those that need new parts. Just remember that you also have a years warranty and we did find a few more items after we started using it. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Yes it is...and its been too many years since we've been there. Last time we went, we were in a 24' tt. That seems like ages ago....LOL

first time heartland owner, just purchased a 2012 big country, 3450TS, still waiting delivery. have one question to anyone whom might know. what are the steel cables for on the bedroom slide this is the first time I have seen this in use on a fifth wheel

The steel cables are what moves helps move the slide in and out. There is most likely an electric motor mounted in the area that the cables connect to.

was told the slide was hydraulic like all others, that is why I was puzzled about the cables. at the recent RV show I saw them on several mfg that never had them before Keystone for one.

The BC 3450 is the same basic floor plan as our BH 3585. It is electric and the motor is under the head of the bed.

Peace
