Newbie needs help with slide out seal!

I have a 2013 Sundance XLT 277RL with an 11 foot slide. The top seal on the slide out is gummy and needs replaced. I'm sure I can do the job myself but I'm unsure on exactly what to order. Can anyone point in the right direction in a hurry. The Georgia sun isn't helping matters.

Dmac - welcome to the forum!

Give Heartland Customer Service a call this morning at 877-262-8032. They can sell you the needed seal or at least tell you more about it if you choose to order it elsewhere. They will need your VIN when you call.

When you call have your vin# handy. and also the length of the slide (or seal you need to replace). They will sell it to you by the foot. Replacing it is pretty easy. Usually there is a set screw at each end of the seal (inside the bulging part). Just remove both screws and it should slide off the track. Slide the seal off and slide the replacement on. Replace the screws (I normally use a washer to give it more holding surface).

The bulbed portion of the seal, slides off. There are usually two screws , one on either end that holds it on. Get on the roof or tall ladders, and have at it. Mine have also gotten sticky, and gummy. So I went after them with some silicon spray and cleaned, and lubed them up.
