No People With Gas In My Line

True story...Today I am at the local 4-Way Gas/Grocery/Deli store getting gas.They don't have card readers, you pump your gas and then pay. Despite the fact they have two registers, everyone was lined up almost to the door at one register, for some reason. It wasn't long before I found out why, as the lady at the open register loudly announced "ANYONE THAT DOESN'T HAVE GAS - I CAN CHECK YOU OUT OVER HERE"....... I'm sorry I'm a smart%$# I know, but I'm not going to let a lead in like that go by. I had to ask just as loudly "IF I PROMISE TO HOLD IT CAN YOU CHECK ME OUT ANYWAY, I'M IN A HURRY"; There was an eruption of laughter all over the store, and the poor girl behind the register went scarlet!!. It took several minutes for the other girl behind the working register to get her laughter under control enough that she could continue checking out the "gassy" customers.

Reminds me of the old gas station with restaurant that had a sign out front... "Eat at Joe's and get gas"
