North to Alaska. ... But how to get there?

We are headed to Alaska this year. Just trying to choose which state to embark on the trip. Montanta, North Dakota, or Washington??? Then when to leave, May, June, or July???

What state are you planning on departing from? Texas?

I always did the Washington State departure..allowed me to stopy by Ft Lewis and harass old friends...now, I'd exit Montana...a lot to see.

I have no idea were we will be departing from. My wife is a travel nurse, so where ever our assignment before we go to Alaska is where we will be leaving from. The plan is to take a 13 week assignment in Alaska during the summer and travel around during her days off.

We travel full time, right now we are in Florida. We plan on making our way Northwest and would like to be ready to cross in June. Just wanted to know where most crossed.
