Ordering Cabinet Doors

I'm looking to ad additional cabinet doors to some of the open areas in the kitchen of the new trailer. These areas are useless to store anything in. Everything would fall out when moving. These areas are set up for doors, they have frames around them, just no doors. Only a 2" high decorative rail along the bottom.

Do I go through the dealer to get the doors and hardware or is it better to go through Heartland themselves.

Thanks
Jamie

Jamie, measure your doors and call Heartland. Doors are ordered by size, not application. Don't forget to order the hardware too, including a prop if needed.
I did exactly what you are planning with the empty space above the microwave. What use to be useless space is now a great spot for food boxes, eg crackers, chips cereal etc.

We have the BH3055, and were just discussing how it would be nice to have a door on the back side of the counter where the sink is. This solves my issue. I'll be ordering one (with the hardware), this week. Thanks for the idea!

we ordered 2 cabinet doors from our dealer.. one for over the fridge... which was like you said useless space with out a door.. However, being a HOC member I remember reading somewhere Heartland gives you a discount if order through them. Our door had to be cut down, and to our relief was really easy to do and took us like 10 minutes to do and we were able to match the stain color almost perfectly.

That's awsome. I'm hoping ours will go as good. We found cabinet doors in the trailer that match the size we need, so we should not need to alter the size, if they have them in stock.

Well, we ordered 2 sets of doors and hardware. Should be at Heartland in 7-10 days, then a few days to ship them to Pa. Can't wait to get them stained and put on. Thanks for the help.

Jamie - they are not stained already? Each time I have gotten a door or drawer front it came stained to match.

Boy, I hope they come stained already. They have not arrived yet. I'll let you know.

In the process of making a shoe rack for the inside of the 6" deep, useless closet, right inside the entrance door. How 2 girls can bring 8 pair of shoes is beyond me. haha

How or what did you do to match the stain, I have Glazed Cherry, which is more a brownish cherry andI have done alot of woodworking but I don't know where to start with this one. I think I would have to mix two colors, one cherry
but the other? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried mixing a variety of stains. Even when I thought I had a match, once I stained the project it still didn't match.
It would be nice to be able to just buy a can of the proper mix.

Our boat is a 1980 Post. It was shipped from the factory with cans of the matching gel-coat, stain, varnish, paint etc.
