Our knees hit the table legs

We love our new Prowler. We are pleased that the dinette table is free standing and can be moved about in the camper or taken outside. However when we use it in the dinette, the people at each end of the table bump their knees. There is very little clearance. I have looked at photos of other prowlers with this table and it looks like the legs on the tables are all close to the seats. We went on our first run last week and used the table turned crossways but that way puts folks too far away. Anyone else have this question ? And we wonder if the legs could be moved toward the center more?
