Please Help! Norcold frige

I've got a 32buds equipped w a norcold frig/freezer.... It worked a few weeks ago fine on lp before we left and on electric... Today I got to a camp cite and the freezer works but the frige does not

any ideas or suggestions on a fix

Hi jmartin,

In general if the freezer is close to zero degrees F, the cooling system is working. If the refrigerator is warmer than 40F, it could be:

1) air leaks in the refrigerator cabinet - perhaps the door(s) aren't closing completely.
2) if temps and humidity are very high, the frig may be struggling and could take overnight to cool down.
3) if the frig is packed such that air circulation is reduced significantly, the cold air will not circulate to all areas
4) if you open the door(s) and leave them open for a while as you think about what to take out, you'll find that RV refrigerators can take a very long time to recover.

their was nothing in it...hopefully it is just the weather but what concerned me was the fact that the freezer was working properly and normal but frig is not

is that usual?

Usually if there's a cooling system malfunction, it affects both freezer and refrigerator. If your freezer is working well, and the frig isn't, it's usually one of the things I mentioned.

On a hot day, my freezer gets cold very fast, but the refrigerator portion can take up to 5 hours to get cold.

In over 40 years of camping, we always start the fridge a day or 2 before we leave. This way if there is an issue..we can fix it. After it is cold...then we put "cold" things in it. Never had a problem doing it this way. BTW, did the temp setting get moved or knocked off by mistake?? It should be on the fins inside the fridge.

Thanks everyone it finally cooled off guess it was just hotter than I realized... Usually it's cooler or I start it the day before

now my awning won't go out and boat motor that ran at the house will not start but it came a flood last night
