Popping magic chef cook top

We have a 2008 Bighorn with a magic chef stove. My question is , why do the burner's make a popping sound when you shut them off? Does anyone else have this problem? Thank's Art

Ours does the same thing.

Maybe some dirt or debris blocking some of the openings.

Might check for moisture in the burners?

Could just be contraction of the metal. Metal expands when heated and contracts when cooling. The stove in our house suffers from this. Doesn't hurt anything though. ED.

The popping sound is when first turned off and the flame goes out.
