The information regarding Alaska is correct. If whatever you have is for recreation you do not need any extra endorsement.

All the "compact" deals with is reporting violations back to your state that issued your license. You get a ticket for speeding in BFE and your state of residence is not a member of the compact they will never know you got a ticket out of state. Nothing to do with licensing.
